The experience begins with a 15-minute introductory video, followed by a guided walk through the high-security premises, where guests see the mine's workings and machinery up close. The tour then proceeds to the immense open cast mine, which is four times larger than the famous Kimberley ‘Big Hole.’ Afterwards, visitors get the chance to explore the Cullinan Diamond Mine market for unique diamond and jewellery shopping opportunities. Learn the story of the world's largest diamond, the Cullinan, which was discovered here and later became part of the British Crown Jewels. Guided surface tours are delivered by professional English-speaking guides. Return transfers from Sandton and Rosebank hotels are included. The tour lasts approximately 6.5 hours and requires a minimum of 2 guests to operate. Tours depart daily except 16, 25 & 26 December and 1 January. Lunch is not included. Bookings less than 24 hours in advance are subject to availability at the time of booking.
