Our Story
South Africa Wild Escapes was created by Colin and Cathy Wolfe who are the founders of Ireland Wild Escapes and Connemara Wild Escapes.
Colin and Cathy moved to Ireland from South Africa in 2009 and settled in the wilds of Connemara, West of Ireland. They soon recognised an opportunity to promote and sell the wealth of activities and experiences that are available in Ireland and set about contacting local suppliers. Over time they created a comprehensive list of over 550 authentic and immersive experiences that are available throughout the island of Ireland.
With their exceptional track record and love for South Africa, it was only a matter of time before launching South Africa Wild Escapes together with local partners Greg and Moira-Lisa Haylle-Dick.
What connects these founding couples is that they are never bored in places of nature and wilderness, whether in Connemara (Ireland) or the Western Cape (South Africa). They recognise that there are so many wonderful things to do and appreciate in nature.
