Team up with Jacques Marais – a globally respected photographer, author, film maker and storyteller – the focus of these visual journeys will depend on client requirements, abilities and seasonal timing. Core safaris and workshops will focus on the vast arid spaces situated within South Africa’s Northern Cape Province, including the Namaqua, Karoo, Richtersveld, Tankwa and Kgalagadi desert regions, as well as the temperate indigenous forests along South Africa’s iconic Garden Route region.

Photography will cover the basics of capturing quality digital images, but with an inclusive approach to allow imagineers shooting on anything from a camera phone to a professional mirrorless system.  Specific attention will be given to genres such as Astro-, Landscape-, Macro, Wildlife-, Birding- and Wildlife Photography, with hands-on assistance and tutelage from your photographic expert on how to capture that special image.

These tours will offer a true immersion into the cultural and natural landscape of the Northern Cape’s arid regions, combining storytelling, nature immersion, authentic cuisine, quirky towns, rough-diamond characters, magnificent wildlife and birding, and a slew of off-the-radar attractions not offered by other operators.
